Veterans Helping Veterans and Homeless People – Providing a HAND-UP, Not a HAND-OUT

Dignity Commons

Dignity CommonsDignity Commons provides housing for families and singles. We offer houses for veterans and their families and single beds for 40 veterans. People can stay here for up to 18 months. Residents make vocational plans, and work toward achieving autonomy. We identify and utilize residents’ strengths and skills so they can live cooperatively and participate in running the shelters.

Dignity CommonsServices provided include AA meetings, job search assistance, credit repair workshops, veteran benefits assistance including medical and mental health services.
