Bringing Our Community Together to Stop Bullying

February 21st, 2018

Bullying can be a hard topic for a lot of kids – and their parents – to talk about. But when our families and communities come together to combat bullying and support young people, great things can happen!

On February 10th, we brought together partners from Alameda Point Collaborative, Alameda Unified School District, Alameda Social Services, the Alameda Police Department, and Oakland Unite to offer an anti-bullying community event at Shinsei Gardens in Alameda. Families in attendance heard from an expert panel, shared their own experiences, and brainstormed healthy ways to help children build confidence and community. Thanks so much to Mayor Trish Spencer, keynote speaker Robbie Wilson of AUSD, all the panelists, and all the parents and children who participated. We are proud to be part of your community!
