Three Cheers for the Alameda Free Library!

November 7th, 2018

Thanks so much to the Teen Advisory Board at the Alameda Free Library! This October, the Board organized a donation drive to gather socks and snacks for the people experiencing homelessness that Operation Dignity serves.

Thanks to the teens’ energy in publicizing the drive to the local community, the response was huge – and heartwarming. Last week, they dropped off a mountain of boxes and bags containing socks, granola bars, snacks, and hygiene supplies.

These generous donations are already heading out with our mobile outreach team and going into the hands of veterans and other folks who are homeless and need help.

Thanks to the Alameda Free Library, everyone who donated, and especially to the Teen Advisory Board for this wonderful effort.
